Church and convent of Saint Theresa

Santa Teresa church in Venice is popularly known as Le Terese church. It was built in 1688 by Cominelli for the nuns of the annexed convent. The convent, after its suppression in 1810, became an orphanage, then a nursery scholl and a hostel for homeless people. Today it is the site of the Faculty of Arts and Design of IUAV, a Venetian university.

Le Terese church is located in the sestiere of Dorsoduro, water bus stop San Basilio.
