Scuola Grande della Carità and the Accademia
The case of Santa Maria della Carità is representative of the organization of religious and civil life on Venice: the scuola stays just beside the church, and so does the convent. All the complex was meaning to work in a coherent way.
However, just like many other buildings in Venice, Scuola Grande di Santa Maria della Carità was not completed, and then used for totally different purposes: today, all the three buildings constitute the Accademia Gallery and Fine Arts academy.
