Learn the secrets of Voga Veneta
Venetian rowing (Voga Veneta) differs from traditional rowing because the oarsman stands up, with its only oar supported by a special oarlock called forcola.
This ancient technique was born to allow an easier circulation on narrow and sometimes busy Venetian canals: Venetian rowing is space-saving, just because it only needs the side space for one oar.
Obviously, for the same reason a special technique and skills are required in order to keep the boat straight and not turning around in circles: many schools and clubs exist in the lagoon where people of all ages can learn the secrets of Venetian rowing.
