The theatre of Marghera
Aurora theatre of Venice is the main theatre of Marghera, on the mainland of Venice. Just like Mestre, Marghera is easily accessible from Venice, just a few minutes of bus away from Piazzale Roma.
Aurora theatre has been built more than fifty years ago by Franciscan friars, and became very popular in the 60s and 70s, not only for shows but also for political debates who took place here. Nowadays, Aurora theatre is managed by the company Questa Nave, which organizes contemporary theatre performances, dance shows, jazz and world music concerts, seminars and workshops.
