From bombs to art
Junghans Theatre on Giudecca island, opened in 2005, is the newest one among Venetian theatres. It is located on Giudecca island, in a building which used to be a warehouse for the bombs' parts produced by Junghans factory during war.
Nowadays, its aim is rather to produce culture: beside a little and intimate theatre of only 150 seats, there are four areas for reharsals, workshops, seminars and courses.
To reach Junghans theatre, take the vaporetto until Giudecca island and get off at Palanca stop. Junghans is at a short walk towards South.
