La Fenice theatre: the temple of opera
La Fenice Theatre in Venice is undoubtedly one of the most important and elegant opera houses in the world.
Built in 1792, it has burned two times, in 1836 and in 1996. Luckily, just like the mytical Phoenix bird from which it has been named after, one could definitely say that it rose from its ahes: both times, La Fenice Theatre was rebuilt exactly like the original.
Reopened in 2003, it still hosts performances of internationally renamed artists of classical music and opera.
Tourists can visit La Fenice Theatre every day, however there may be closing days due to the preparation of the shows or to reharsals.
