The history of Jews in the lagoon

Jewish Museum of Venice (Museo Ebraico) provides an interesting introduction to Jewish history in the lagoon, thanks to the fact that beside the precious ritual objects exposed, in this tiny museum it is also possible to book multilingual guided tours to some of the old synagogues of Ghetto (otherwise closed to visitors).
Jewish Museum of Venice also houses a very well-stocked bookshop on Jews in Venice.

Jewish Museum is located on Campo del Ghetto, inside the Jewish Ghetto. It is closed on Saturday and during other Jewish holidays. Vaporetto stops: Guglie or San Marcuola.
