How to get to Venice by car

How to arrive in Venice by car

Arriving in Venice by car is really easy, as the city is connected to many local roads, and it is served by three motorways: A4 from Turin (passing through Milan) or Triste, A27 from Belluno and A13 from Bologna.
Buses and cars can go to Venice from the mainland by driving on the Ponte della Libertà, a railway/road bridge of about 4 kilometres of lenght. Once in Venice, cars must be parked in one of the parking lots available in Piazzale Roma or at Tronchetto.
Piazzale Roma is the car and bus (public transportation) terminal of Venice, and it is located in the district of Santa Croce - a central location which makes it a very convenient choice for people who choose to get to Venice by car.
Cheaper parking facilites are also available in Mestre, the part of Venice which is built on the mainland.
