Venice handicrafts

are famous all across the world as much as Venice itself: Murano glass, Burano lace, Carnival masks, gondolas can all be considered symbols of Venice no less than Rialto bridge or Saint Mark's square.
Glasses, chandeliers, animals and houseware: all can be make in Murano glass. Venice Carnival is inextricably connected to masks, which are still decorated manually with the great attention to detail that characterizes Venice handicrafts.
However, the most iconic example of Venetian handicraft is probably the gondola: this unique boat requires the work of skilled craftsmen before sailing Venetian canals and being portraited in hundreds of photographs every day.
